The Tri City Vipers have opened up their 2023/2024 Fall/Winter Basketball Season.

The Vipers offers programs to suit player needs ranging from those who are just starting out to the experienced competitive player. Both practice and league play are designed to offer equal measures of player enjoyment (FUN), physical fitness and personal skill development. However, each player has a different view of what constitutes fun, fitness and skill development.
To address these varying objectives, the Tri City Vipers Basketball Club offers the following programs:
Mini Vipers (for ages 5-7) (*Note: 7 year olds with basketball experience can choose novice house league).
House League, which represents the basic level of play in all its divisions; this is our most widely used program.
and finally A, AA, AAA Competitive Teams (Vipers Rep), which is built on the instruction of basketball fundamentals with the aim to develop and improve on players skills and abilities. Vipers Rep teams operate from U10-U19, with separate teams for boys and girls.

Our club season fee of $390 includes all regular practices and league games and playoffs. Teams may enter extra tournaments and participate in exhibition games and team-building events that may require additional individual contributions.
Tri City Vipers offers separate male and female programs at all age levels of house league. Our Mini Vipers programs may have separate boys and girls sessions, dependant on registration numbers.
For new families - for U10 and older players, the Tri City Vipers Basketball Club tiers their teams based on a variety of factors including experience, apptitude, effort, and skill, and do our best to match players with like-skilled and experience players. Evaluators will assess all players over the course of two evaluation sessions. In some age groups, when the group is very large, there may be three evaluation sessions. They will play against teams all over HRM that are balanced and placed in the same division (same skill level). No Teams are predetermined, and our balancing sessions are important for new and returning players to get evaluated. The Club season will consist of 1 to 2 practices a week with games vs other teams on Saturdays for Novice (U10) & Atom (U12) and Sundays for Bantam (U14), Midget (U16) & Juvenile (U18).
We are a volunteer led organization and are always looking for more community mentors to step up and help us lead teams, at registration we will also have a registration section for coaches (head and assistant) as well as team managers. Please do not hesitate to step up.
