Registrations for PLAYERS & COACHES are now being accepted for the 2022-2023 season.

AFTER AUGUST 20TH THERE WILL BE A LATE REGISTRATION FEE OF $50 ADDED TO EACH REGISTRATION!

Before you register please read important info below.

 

 

The Tri City Viper Basketball offers Full Year Season Program and a Fall/ Winter Season Program to suit player needs ranging from those who are just starting out to the experienced competitive player. Both practice and league play are designed to offer equal measures of player enjoyment (FUN), physical fitness and personal skill development. However, each player has a different view of what constitutes fun, fitness and skill development.

To address these varying objectives, the Tri City Vipers Basketball Club offers the following programs:

• Entry Level (for ages 5-7) (*Note: 7 year old’s with basketball experience can choose City league)

 

• City & Varsity League, which represents the basic level of play in all its divisions; this is our most widely used program.

 

• opportunity to be a part of the City & Varsity League Selects, which exposes players to more challenging competition by participating in local competitive tournaments.

 

• and finally A, AA, AAA Competitive Teams (Tri City Elite Travel Team), which is built on the instruction of basketball fundamentals with the aim to develop and improve on players skills and abilities.  Vipers Elite teams operate from U10-U19, with separate teams for boys and girls.

 

All City & Varsity league, and She Can Ball & He Can Hoop practices are held in gymnasiums  in East Dartmouth, North Dartmouth, Central Halifax and Clayton Park area. Practices are held on weekday evenings between 6-10pm, with the earliest times going to our youngest players. Some teams may have practice on one weekend day.  Games are held on weekends.

 

Online Registration for All New and Returning Players

Prior to registering online:

For new players: ensure you have proof of age for the child - birth certificate or Nova Scotia (pdf or jpeg).

Volunteer commitment: 1 volunteer effort is required for every family (i.e. bingo). Please sign up here prior to registering (you will be asked to list the the date you signed up for when you register).  Volunteer sign up page:

Payment: Have your credit card ready for registration.

Jumpstart: Jumpstart will provide up to $300 per season for a child to participate in a sport.  See this link to apply online.  Contact the registrar if you have any questions.

IMPORTANT:

• Please choose “2022-23 MBA” when registering for Boys D-League or Girls G- League City  & Varsity Fall/Winter 2022-23 in RAMP.

• Please choose "2022-23 TCV Membership Year" registering for our Full Year and In house Program in RAMP.

• All our athletes and coaches are insured through Metro Basketball Association.

• We have a mandatory volunteer requirement as our program is operated primarily by volunteers.  Please click here to view our Volunteer Policy and a list of our Volunteer jobs here.

 

 

2022-2023 Age Category / Registration Fees City & Varsity League:

U10/Junior Mini:    9 years or under on Jan 1, 2023     $355.00

U12/Mini:              11 years or under on Jan 1, 2023     $355.00
U14/Bantam:        13 years or under on Jan 1, 2023     $355.00
U16/Midget:          15 years or under on Jan 1, 2023    $355.00 
U18/Juvenile:        17 years or under on Jan 1, 2023   $355.00**               

**U18 players are ineligible to play on both a club y team and their high school's  Varsity  team at the same time, players who make their JV team can play on both club and high school team so the season is split in two: before and after Christmas.  When you register, you'll be asked to pay for the full season.  If you make your high school's senior team, please email president@tricityvipers.ca to let us know.  The deadline to get the refund is December 15, 2022**

 

2022-2023  Full Year Program September to July:

Vipers Rookie Squad                  Ages 5-10         $1000.00

Vipers Freshman Squad              U10-U11          $1500.00

Vipers Sophomore Squad            U12-U13          $1500.00*

Vipers Junior Squad                    U14-U15           $1500.00*

Vipers Senior Squad                   U14-U18            $1500.00*

Vipers Elite AAU Travel Teams   U14-U19          $1500.00**

 

Payment Plans Are available for all our Full Year Programs.

*Players are expected to fundraise to help offset the cost of travel.

**Vipers Elite Travel Teams play and travel until August and will incur additional cost.          

 

REFUND POLICY:

Refunds may be granted on cancelled registrations for the 2022/23 Fall/Winter season as follows:

• $50 per athlete is non-refundable (a “full refund” will be less a $50 non-refundable administration fee), regardless of the reason for cancellation. 
• Refunds requested before teams are formed will be subject to the $50 administration fee.
• Refunds requested after teams are formed are subject to a $75 administration fee.  
• Registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE after the first game weekend of the 2022-2023 MBA Season.
• NO Refunds for Full year or REP Programs

 

COACHES:

• Tri City Vipers Basketball requires a Criminal Record Check from all coaches, assistant coaches & team managers or any volunteers who are in regular contact with our players.
• Tri City Vipers Basketball conducts these record checks at no cost to our volunteers. Please click here to complete your record check. 
• These are valid for two years so send your previous record check to president@tricityvipers.ca if it is still valid until March 31, 2022 or later.
• WHEN REGISTERING AS A COACH, PLEASE THE CODE, TCVBCoachMEM2223 AND YOU WILL AVOID THE $20 ADMIN FEE.  TRI CITY VIPERS  WILL COVER THIS FEE FOR YOU.
