Tri City Vipers Basketball: Fall Season Update – 2 Week Pause
Hello Viper Families!
As information moves very quickly - We are sure it is no surprise to anyone to hear that the Province has put a two week pause on sports in HRM to help mitigate the spread of Covid-19 in our Communities.
We at the Vipers are grateful that our Government is acting quickly and we hope that in two weeks the spread will be contained and we’ll be able to return to play with a few weeks of practices prior to the Holiday Break to get ready for the start of the season in January. We started early compared to other clubs so we would be ready in case this happened.
Up to this point – we have been in constant contact with Public Health to ensure we are presenting a safe brand of basketball for all of our members, and we have their full support in our approach as an organized Minor Sport Club. HRM and HRCE have been doing an incredible job cleaning the facilities before we arrive, and when we depart. The gym spaces we have seen this week have never been cleaner or safer for our kids.
Most team Rosters outside of a small few have been finalized, and once the pause has lifted, we’ll resume
practices and continue to do so in a safe manner.
A few other club notes:
We look forward to getting the kids playing again in a few weeks and seeing everyone soon.
